About the author
Catalan-American Portrait Artist and Writer.
Born in 1973 in La Batllòria, Sant Celoni (Barcelona), Catalonia, Spain.

“Being raised with strong traditional family values and cultural traditions, ones that fostered love, respect, unity and well-being as the fundamental cornerstones to build a solid inner foundation, provided me the framework for my formation as an artist at an early age and for my intellectual and moral development centered on academic excellence and values-based education in Catholic private schools from elementary through middle and to high school. My upbringing, the care and nurturing, the encouragement of growth and self-trust that I received, profoundly reassured me with the sense of belonging and purpose that we all need, as human beings, to lead a mature adult healthy life.

Literature for me is an art form that converges with the fine arts. Both represent the creative expression of the human experience; in my artwork, I look for where the visual and the narrative are in unison and find the transcendence through the language of the body and the language of words, where beauty resides. “Creating beauty transcends beyond what our eyes can perceive as beautiful, something that by definition, pleases the senses or mind aesthetically. But rather creating beauty is providing the connection with the purity of one’s inner self, which allows us to love and treat ourselves with the care and the dignity of self-respect.

As an artist, I believe I have a personal responsibility to bring inner beauty to life, to be the connector and to bring people’s experiences to a higher dimension.
